I am interested in Geophysical instability. I study baroclinic instability.

I am Cheng Qian. I recently graduated here with the Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics (Climate Physics). My main research project here has the main supervisor Peter L. Read and the co-supervisor David P. Marshall. My doctoral thesis is about baroclinic eddy heat transport with a beta effect.
